Pakistani drummer and singer Farhad Humayun passed away at the age of 42
Farhad Humayun was a famous Pakistani drummer, singer, songwriter, audio engineer, record producer, and percussionist. He was born on the British Channel Island of Jersey on 5 October 1978. His mother was a renowned actress, scholar, and Pride of Performance winner, Navid Shahzad, and his father was an award-winning Pakistani cricket commentator. Farhad Humayun was the founder of the famous drum jam Pakistani band Overload. Farhad also founded two bands Co-Ven and Mindriot as a drummer. He produced and launched cherished artists like, Atif Aslam, Symt, and Meesha Shafi. Farhad won several accolades and awards for his music. He was the owner of a recording studio, Riot Studios in Lahore. Farhad was the brand ambassador for brands like Porsche, Samsung, Dell, Mobilink, Warid, and many others. Farhad Humayun was married to Asmaa Mumtaz but was divorced at the time of his death. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2018, Farhad passed away on June 8th, 2021 at the age of 42 years.
